About the Role
Arizona State University's EdPlus unit, focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning, is hiring a Social Media Coordinator to join the ASU Online social media team. This role combines operational precision with creative energy, going beyond scheduling and publishing to include hands-on content production, concept development, and short-form video work.
Day to day, the coordinator manages publishing workflows, coordinates assets and approvals, and keeps the content calendar running smoothly. The role also involves contributing to shoots, participating in creative conversations, and helping produce platform-native content that performs. The coordinator works closely with social media, creative, and content teams and has a hand in shaping what gets made.
This is a hybrid position based at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. Applications close July 1, 2026.
What the Role Covers
- Contributing to content production including short-form video, Reels, and platform-native formats, from concept support to on-set assistance to final post
- Supporting execution of social media strategy across platforms, including scheduling, posting, and quality assurance
- Maintaining and updating social media content calendars for accurate, timely, and consistent publishing
- Coordinating assets, captions, links, tags, and approvals with social media, creative, and content teams
- Trafficking social media content and ensuring version control, accuracy, and platform alignment
- Providing hands-on support for campaign and event-related social activity, including real-time publishing moments
- Conducting quality checks to ensure content is on-brand, accessible, and optimized for each platform
- Tracking published content and supporting performance reporting, documentation, and recaps
- Communicating proactively with stakeholders to flag risks, delays, or execution issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Experience supporting social media publishing or digital content execution in a professional setting
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and publishing tools
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch errors in copy, links, assets, or schedules
- Comfort working within established workflows, brand guidelines, and content strategies
- Proactive communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Interest in social media operations, digital marketing, and mission-driven work
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)
