Program Strategy & Planning
- Translate business objectives into clear program charters, scope, success metrics (OKRs), and value hypotheses.
- Develop integrated plans (roadmaps, timelines, dependency maps, resource plans) for multi-team initiatives.
- Facilitate prioritization with Product and Engineering; run quarterly/PI planning (Scrum/SAFe, as appropriate).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 6–10+ years in technical program/project management, product delivery, or engineering leadership.
- Proven success delivering large-scale software or platform initiatives across multiple teams.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe), DevOps/CI-CD, and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent communication (written/verbal), facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in program tooling: Jira/Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with one or more domains: Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), Data & Analytics, AI/ML, Security & Identity, FinTech/Payments, E-commerce, or Enterprise SaaS.
- Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/SAFe, or AWS/Azure/GCP cloud certifications.
- Familiarity with SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs/Error Budgets), observability, and cost optimization (FinOps).
- Experience with compliance standards relevant to your industry (e.g., PCI DSS for payments, HIPAA for healthcare).
Execution & Delivery
- Own program schedules; track against milestones; manage critical path, dependencies, and scope changes.
- Run cadences: stand-ups, scrum-of-scrums, release planning, risk reviews, and post-mortems.
- Drive release readiness with engineering, QA, security, and operations; enforce change management.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Identify and maintain a risk register; establish mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA—customize as needed).
- Maintain program documentation (charters, RACI, decision logs, architecture & runbooks) in Confluence or equivalent.
Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with architects to validate solution designs against non-functional requirements (scalability, reliability, performance, cost).
- Facilitate trade-off decisions (build vs. buy, roadmap vs. technical debt).
- Align technical dependencies across services, platforms, and shared components.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Provide transparent status reporting (dashboards, burn-up charts, KPIs) tailored to executives and teams.
- Lead steering committees; escalate blockers early with options and recommendations.
- Drive change enablement with documentation, training, and adoption metrics.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement delivery metrics and retrospectives; optimize flow (WIP limits, SDLC guardrails).
- Standardize program processes, templates, and tooling; mentor PMs/engineers on best practices.
Key Deliverables
- Program Charter, OKRs, and Business Case
- Integrated Roadmap & Release Plan
- Risk/Issue/Dependency Register
- Architecture & Technical Decision Log
- Status Reports and Executive Dashboards
- Change Management & Release Readiness Checklist
- Post-Implementation Review (PIR) and Lessons Learned
