Vice President Multi - Site Operations
Crossover
You step onto a campus and immediately spot the problems others miss — the ceiling tile that's come loose but hasn't been reported, the HVAC unit that's been making noise for days, the landscaping contractor who completed half the work but submitted a full invoice. You don't wait for complaints to surface. You fix issues before they become visible.
That awareness defines this role. 2 Hour Learning runs premium K–12 facilities where families expect an environment that is safe, reliable, and visitor-ready at all times — not just when events are scheduled. You'll uphold that benchmark across the Northeast: Manhattan serving as your home base, with routine travel to campuses in CT, MA, and PA. Your contribution determines whether a facility maintains its premium standard or gradually deteriorates between leadership reviews.
Year one focuses heavily on establishing standards and cleaning up vendor relationships — defining what "ready" means operationally, implementing audit protocols, replacing underperforming vendors, and training Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists on sustainable operating procedures. As the region expands and your systems mature, the role transitions to steady-state oversight: you become the operational leader the network turns to when launching new sites, managing emergencies, or refining standards.
This is a field-based position. If you prefer remote dashboard management, this won't suit you. If you want direct accountability for whether 25+ campuses maintain premium standards daily — and the autonomy to ensure that outcome — continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing
- Performing scheduled on-site inspections at Northeast campuses using documented standards for cleanliness, HVAC performance, safety protocols, security, signage, landscaping, furniture condition, and visitor-readiness — then ensuring corrective actions are completed and verified
Managing facilities emergencies and ongoing issues, coordinating vendor response, and closing work orders only after confirming resolution (urgent items <24 hours, standard items <1 week)
- Overseeing vendor performance against service agreements, removing vendors who consistently fail to deliver, renegotiating contracts, and conducting direct accountability discussions on quality and pricing
- Establishing a consistent weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure each location follows standardized procedures rather than improvised solutions
- Managing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC replacements, interior updates, landscaping renovations, AV/network infrastructure) within timeline and budget constraints while minimizing student impact
- Documenting enterprise-wide standards and AI-supported procurement workflows (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance tools, and centralized purchasing) to ensure uniform campus launch and operation
- Delivering concise weekly written updates on regional performance, vendor accountability, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Operating remotely via dashboards — this position demands consistent physical presence at the Manhattan location plus 20–40% travel to regional campuses (CT, MA, PA)
- Leading new campus design or ground-up construction projects — capital development resides with a separate team
- Developing company-wide procurement policies without field validation — your standards emerge from direct site observation
- Working within established reporting structures with formal authority over all relevant personnel — you'll create accountability through documentation, written follow-through, and rejection of ambiguous vendor commitments
- Tolerating "visitor-ready only during leadership tours" as acceptable — recurring problems receive root cause analysis, not repeated work orders
- Defaulting to reactive crisis management — audit schedules and predictive maintenance systems exist to identify failures before they generate complaints
Vice President Multi-Site Operations Key Responsibilities
Maintain every Northeast region campus as safe, premium, and visitor-ready on a daily basis.
Basic Requirements
- Located in New York City or within commuting range, prepared to work primarily from the Manhattan campus with 20–40% regional travel
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

- Documented success holding vendor-managed service providers accountable for quality standards, cost control, and service level agreement compliance across multiple sites
- Hands-on experience resolving critical facilities problems (safety, HVAC, security, cleanliness) with measurable impact on customer experience
- Consistent written operational discipline: issue tracking, escalation documentation, vendor communications, weekly regional performance summaries
- Practical experience with contemporary operations platforms (ticketing systems, IoT/predictive maintenance, AI-assisted procurement or planning tools)
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Multi-site operational leadership in premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare systems serving demanding clientele
- Experience building or rehabilitating regional operating frameworks that previously depended on individual heroics instead of documented standards
- History of removing non-performing vendors and developing reliable local vendor networks
- Background directing capital improvement initiatives (HVAC, AV/networking, landscaping, interior renovations) in active, customer-facing facilities
- Experience operating in AI-enabled environments where systems, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine tasks so personnel concentrate on decision-making
