Mission, Core Values, and Anti-Racist Practices
We believe unwaveringly that:
All students can achieve high standards in and through the arts.
- Students deserve safe, brave, and inclusive environments where they are known, loved, supported, celebrated, and valued.
- Families are partners in education and should be engaged regularly.
- Honoring students’ identities, cultures, and lived experiences makes learning relevant and transformative.
- Black and Brown joy should be cultivated and centered in our learning spaces.
- Critical thinking, creativity, and inquiry should be encouraged through multiple pathways.
- Biases and systemic inequities in education must be examined and actively challenged.
