Work hours: Full-Time; Days; Monday- Friday, 8a-4:30p for 40 hrs/week

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • One year of health care experience including customer relations required.
  • Two years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
  • One year of medical terminology or certification is preferred.
  • Six months call center experience preferred. T
  • CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and schedules procedures for multiple departments in an accurate and timely manner ensuring maximum productivity and expedient patient flow.
  • Selects appropriate procedures and ICD diagnosis, referral, provider, visit type or case, insurance network coverage and location to expeditated patient access to care.
  • Effectively communicates with patients, physician office scheduling, surgery scheduling, and/or other necessary staff as needed to reduce appointment time/date errors.
  • Verifies medical necessity criteria to ensure documentation in compliance with applicable payor guidelines.
  • Participates in special projects or completes other duties as assigned.
