- 1 opening for Monday – Friday 5:00pm to 11:00pm (Night shift differential eligible)

Essential Job Functions
Description of Job Function
1. Sweeps, dust mops, mops, scrubs, and waxes floors using appropriate cleaning and waxing equipment as required.
2. Sweeps, cleans, and mops rest rooms including floors, sinks, urinals, commodes, and mirrors; polishes hardware, refills soap and towel dispensers as required.
3. Empties wastebaskets, cigarette burns, and trash receptacles.
4. Cleans chalkboards, erasers, chalk troughs, and replenishes chalk.
5. Closes windows, turns off lights, and locks assigned areas.
6. Dusts furniture, window sills, and other area equipment.
7. Washes windows, cleans and polishes drinking fountains, and other area equipment.
8. Cleans cobwebs, mud, paper, and other debris from area adjacent to buildings; scrubs, and hoses corridors and walkways.
9. Cleans walls, ceilings, and light fixtures. Requests needed supplies and materials from supervisor.
10. Cleans air conditioning supply and return air grills.
11. Assists in relocating furniture, books, etc.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates throughout the College’s worksites and grounds. The employee may be exposed to elements including but not limited to wet/humid weather, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors. The role may also involve hazards or physical risks, which require comprehending and following basic safety precautions and may require Personal Protection Equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to remaining stationary, moving, ascending/descending, positioning self, reaching, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-100 pounds. This job also entails communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
