Divine Child High School, centered in the teachings of Jesus Christ, the rich Tradition of the Catholic Church, and the call to unconditional love, develops young men and women for lives of responsibility, leadership, and faith in action.
The Spirit is leading a renewal of faith at Divine Child High School - through a variety of faith-filled events, students are growing in their faith, and we are looking for a new team member to bring a love for the Catholic faith and a spirit of innovation to Campus Ministry to continue to engage our community.
Position Overview
Divine Child High School provides a variety of opportunities for students to encounter Christ through a ministry of presence. This position will support Campus Ministry’s mission to provide unique, engaging experiences for the community (students, staff, and families) that lead to a deepening of faith. The person who holds it should be faith-filled, highly motivated, creative, and relatable who can earnestly support the teachings of the Church. This position will be situated at Divine Child High School and will primarily serve the community of Divine Child High School.
Additionally, this position will also support the spiritual mission of Divine Child Elementary School through a small number of specified tasks, which are listed below. This position reports directly to the Director of Campus Ministry.
Responsibilities

Student Formation and School-Wide Programming
- Maintains a ministry of presence for students to serve their spiritual needs
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry to execute meaningful faith experiences through The Great Adventure
- Assists the Director of Campus Ministry in managing the Faith In Action Team (FIAT), which is the Campus Ministry student leadership group and is responsible for…
- Coordinating daily prayer opportunities for the school community, including morning prayer and the Daily Examen
- Planning for high school liturgies
- Creating engaging, faith-based student events on campus
- Developing authentic modes of service
- Plans and prepares the high school Advent and Lenten penance services
- Collaborates with the Instructional Support Program (ISP) to provide formation to students as part of the mentoring program
Retreats
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry to execute a robust retreat program
- Facilitates student leader and facilitator formation in the lead-up to retreats when appropriate
Christian Service
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry and Campus Ministry Coordinator to plan and execute class-level days of service
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry to facilitate the AOD/Virtus “Empowering God’s Children” curriculum
- Coordinates FIAT student leaders’ clothing drives and other faith and justice initiatives on campus
- Regularly attends monthly service events coordinated by the Christian Service Coordinator
Divine Child Elementary School and Middle School Ministry
- Develops and leads (in partnership with the Director of Religious Education) grade-level retreats
- Seeks opportunities for partnership between Divine Child Elementary School and Divine Child High School in regards to shared faith experiences (i.e. offering age-appropriate versions of the same events to both communities)
- Plans and runs Empower twice a month, an after school youth ministry-styled program for 7th and 8th graders
Miscellaneous
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry to identify new opportunities, solutions to problems, etc.
- Contributes to the Faith on Fire Report, Instagram account and general department communication
- Assists with other tasks as assigned by the Director of Campus Ministry, Divine Child High School Principal, and/or Divine Child Pastor
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of work in a ministry-related setting
- Degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or a related field
