About The Role
The Quality Tester is responsible for evaluating products, components, or software to ensure they meet defined quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role performs inspections, executes test plans, documents defects, and collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve overall product performance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, visual, and dimensional inspections on products or components.
Execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures according to company standards.
Identify, document, and track defects, nonconformances, and deviations using quality systems or software.
Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or Pareto analysis.
Verify that products meet customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, or automated test equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, internal procedures, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or associate degree; technical certification preferred.
Experience in quality testing, inspection, or QA/QC in manufacturing, electronics, or software (depending on industry).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment.
Strong understanding of quality standards, defect classification, and testing methods.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving ability.
Ability to work independently and in crossfunctional teams.
