Building Maintenance

The successful candidate is responsible for assisting with the operations of the physical campus and ensures a safe, clean, and orderly environment for students and staff.

• Plans and coordinates maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and systems such as heating, air conditioning, and fire protection
• Coordinates work assignments and makes necessary revisions and adjustments to meet priority needs
• Conducts weekly safety checks of the building
• Orders cleaning and paper supplies
• Maintains inventory of tools, supplies, and materials
• Coordinates services with outside technicians, contractors, and inspectors
• Ensures that inspections on all systems are up to date
• May serve on the School Safety Committee
• Sweeps, dusts, and wet mops floors and stairs
• Cleans and sanitizes the building
• Strips, waxes, buffs, and reseals floors
• Cleans and sanitizes lavatories and toilets
• Shampoos or spot cleans carpets and rugs
• Painting as needed

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Previous custodial experience
• Background clearance to work in a school

Preferred qualifications in addition to above:

• Previous custodial experience in a school
