Lockheed Martin F-35 Sensor Fusion team is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in developing the next generation of sensor fusion algorithms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modeling, analyzing, and testing Fusion algorithms as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into Fusion applications.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with C++ and MATLAB
  • Strong mathematical foundation in Linear Algebra, Probability Theory, and Statistics
  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – (Windows & Linux)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Desired Skills

  • Significant project work with an emphasis in Mathematics
  • Experience implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms in real time operating systems
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)/Object Oriented Design (OOD)
  • Experience modeling vehicle motion, sensor modeling, non-linear optimization, developing data association algorithms, and/or prior sensor fusion experience
  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – (Windows & Linux)
  • Extensive experience modeling vehicle motion, sensor modeling, non-linear optimization, state estimation, data association, and sensor fusion

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
