The IT Application Administrator plays a key role in managing and optimizing campus application technologies—including emerging AI platforms—to empower faculty, staff, and students. This position leads the administration, integration, and support of critical applications, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative technology experiences across the institution. The role also guides users, supports governance efforts, and helps shape the future of AI and IT adoption on campus.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Administer and support cloud and on‑premises applications—especially AI and innovation platforms—ensuring secure, reliable performance and proper licensing
- Monitor service health, resolve incidents, maintain documentation, and uphold institutional policies and access controls
- Build integrations and automation workflows across enterprise systems; support AI‑enabled solutions using platforms like Azure or AWS
- Provide user support, coordinate with vendors, and create training and knowledge resources for faculty, staff, and students
- Contribute to governance, security, and compliance efforts for AI and application usage in partnership with security, legal, and compliance teams
- Evaluate vendor roadmaps, recommend new features or pilots, and participate in continuous improvement
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform future application and AI strategies
Additional Information
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete an I-9 form to verify eligibility to work in the U.S.
- This position offers a hybrid-flexible schedule, with a minimum expectation of one on-campus day per week during the initial training and onboarding period to support effective integration and collaboration. As the employee becomes fully established in the role, additional remote work options may be considered based on performance, operational needs, and team alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience administering enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or cloud‑based systems
- Hands‑on experience with application administration in M365, Azure, or comparable environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related field by date of hire
- 4+ years of experience administering enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or cloud‑based systems
- Experience using modern AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, generative AI assistants) in enterprise or educational settings
- Understanding of APIs, connectors, and integration workflows (REST, webhooks, OAuth, automation tools)
- Experience working in a higher education environment
Target Salary Range
$74,000 to $78,000 (Final salary offer will be determined based on knowledge, skills, and experience)
