Deputy Director of Marketing

LS2group is seeking a Deputy Director of Marketing. This role is built for a senior operator who can lead teams and manage accounts. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a decisive operator, and an experienced team member for both clients and internal team members.

The Deputy Director of Marketing will be point on day-to-day operations, account management oversight, and internal team development.

Responsibilities

  • Workflow, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project profitability across the agency.
  • Oversee account management standards and quality benchmarks across all client engagements.
  • Partner on strategy for top-tier accounts and serve as a senior client point of contact when needed.
  • Recruit new talent and develop existing staff.
  • Support feedback structures and communication across the team.
  • Assist with business development, proposal strategy, and pitching when needed.
  • Monitor agency financial performance and contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and goal setting.
  • Identify operational risks and opportunities and bring forward solutions.
  • Stay current on agency industry trends, pricing models, service line evolution, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or professional services, with meaningful time in a senior operating, general management, or agency leadership role.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with the sales process and/or scaling a business through direct business development.
  • Experience managing P&L, utilization, and margin across multiple service lines or business units.
  • Proven success building and developing teams.
  • Working knowledge of integrated marketing disciplines including paid media, digital, creative, social, and account management.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to lead multiple priorities, teams, and client relationships simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, marketing analytics platforms, and agency financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
