QII seeks a Vice President (VP), Accounting to serve as the accounting and financial operations backbone of a rapidly scaling digital infrastructure platform. This role will oversee the day-to-day accounting, cash management, lender reporting, and budgeting functions across QII’s portfolio of hyperscale Infratech campuses. The VP, Accounting will work closely with Executive leadership, project teams, legal counsel, and external lenders to ensure disciplined financial operations, timely lender draws, and full covenant compliance across an expanding capital structure.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Close

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across QII’s operating entities, SPVs, and joint venture structures.
  • Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions across a multi-entity structure.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party accounting firms to manage annual audits and tax filings.

Cash Management & Treasury

  • Manage daily cash positioning, bank account reconciliations, and treasury operations across operating and project-level accounts.
  • Monitor liquidity, forecast short-term cash needs, and coordinate intercompany funding movements.
  • Administer banking relationships, account structures, and treasury controls.
  • Implement and maintain segregation of duties, wire authorization protocols, and fraud prevention controls.

Lender Draw Management & Covenant Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly construction loan draw requests, including sources-and-uses schedules, supporting invoice packages, lien waivers, and third-party inspector coordination.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, advisors, and rating agencies through the draw and reporting cycle.
  • Prepare ongoing borrowing base calculations and covenant compliance reporting including DSCR, Debt Yield, LTV, LTC, and financial covenant certifications across all credit facilities.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual lender deliverables including financial statements, compliance certificates, and officers’ certificates.

Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A

  • Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process across corporate and project-level entities.
  • Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, operating budgets, and capital expenditure plans.
  • Partner with project teams on construction budget tracking, cost-to-complete analysis, and contingency management.
  • Develop management dashboards and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis, board materials, and capital partner reporting as needed.

Invoice Management & Cost Controls

  • Own the invoice review, coding, approval, and payment workflow across all operating and project entities.
  • Coordinate with construction managers, general contractors, and vendors on pay application review, cost allocation, and contract compliance.
  • Implement and maintain purchase order controls, vendor onboarding procedures, and expense approval thresholds.
  • Track change orders, contingency draws, and budget variances at the project level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial operations experience, including prior experience in an Assistant Controller or Controller role at an institutional infrastructure, real estate, or high-growth platform.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity accounting, and real estate or project-level financial reporting.
  • Direct experience managing construction loan draws, lender reporting, and covenant compliance under institutional credit facilities.
  • Experience coordinating with Big 4 or national audit firms.
  • Preferred CPA certification (active or inactive).
  • Preferred experience in digital infrastructure, hyperscale data centers or mission-critical real estate.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Yardi, MRI, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting cycles under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with senior executives, lenders, and external auditors.

  • Onsite at the headquarters location in Overland Park, KS or approved for remote work in a home office setting, in addition to travel requirements up to 25%.
