SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

OmniByte is a growing software company in Fargo, ND with a global reach, seeking technically skilled, hands-on professionals who excel at building, configuring, and optimizing software solutions. As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will work directly with clients and partners to design, configure, implement, and support scalable business solutions for complex enterprise applications.

This role emphasizes hands-on system configuration, integration, and technical problem-solving across modern mobile and cloud platforms rather than traditional project management. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into fully functioning solutions by configuring software, integrating systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance.

Your day-to-day work will involve working directly within systems—configuring features, integrating services, diagnosing issues, and refining implementations to maximize performance and usability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Design, configure, test, deploy, and support business software solutions for complex requirements, including OmniByte products.

· Configure applications to meet client-specific use cases, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

· Implement and troubleshoot integrations, including REST-based services, between systems and external platforms.

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues across application layers, including data flow, system behavior, and performance bottlenecks.

· Perform hands-on system configuration and validation, ensuring solutions behave as intended in real-world scenarios.

· Analyze existing implementations and recommend enhancements or adjustments to improve efficiency, usability, and performance.

· Work directly with clients in a technical capacity to refine requirements and validate system functionality.

· Support solution deployments and post-implementation stabilization, identifying and resolving issues quickly.

· Collaborate cross-functionally to share technical expertise, improve solution quality, and drive continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

· BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

· Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting business software applications in production environments.

· Hands-on experience with system integration, including REST APIs and data exchange between platforms.

· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze system behavior and resolve complex issues.

· Familiarity with software deployment processes, environments, and release management practices.

· Experience supporting and maintaining multiple integrated applications or platforms.

· Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming concepts (coding not required, but helpful for system understanding).

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience translating business requirements into system configurations and functional solutions.

· Understanding of distributed systems, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise application ecosystems.

· Experience working directly with clients to implement and refine technical solutions in live environments.

· Familiarity with performance tuning, system monitoring, and optimization techniques.
