Position Summary
In our position Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of food manufacturing plant equipment and systems.
We are willing to train the right candidate for the essential functions.
Basic hand tools are required.
- Hands-on repair and minor metal fabrication experience for machinery repair
- Preventive maintenance on machinery
- Inventory monitoring for maintenance supply’s
- Maintain work orders
- Work with all Plant personnel
- Special projects
- Make recommendations to solve maintenance related problems.
- Ensure that all job tasks are performed in compliance with all food safety and quality management system rules, procedures, policies and guidelines
Other Functions
- Other tasks as assigned by the Company
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to work assigned hours
- Availability for 24/7 on call duty
- Proficient in maintaining and repairing production related equipment and systems
- Proficient at managing maintenance projects
- Proficient with chemicals and SDS instructions
- Ability to efficiently communicate in English language
- Basic computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word
Education and Experience Required
- 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility
- AA Degree, or Certificate in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology, or other related field preferred
- Welding, electrical, and low voltage experience preferred
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the same expertise.

Schedule
- 8-hour shift swing 1:00- PM to 9:30-PM - but can be flexible.
- Monday to Friday
- On call after, training period of at least 90 to 180 days
- Weekends – Very minimal

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience
- Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
- Food manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
- Driver's License (Preferred)
