We're looking to hire a Registered Nurse 3 at Fircrest School RHC in Shoreline, Washington.

This position supervises two shifts of LPNs who provide nursing care to clients with intellectual disabilities. Performs infection control activities and provides professional nursing care for the Program Area Team (PAT) they work in.

Some Of What You'll Do

  • Functions as first line supervisor for AM/day and PM/swing nurses; Accountable for the supervision, training and scheduling of LPNs assigned to these shifts with the PAT in the performance of duties required for optimum safety, health care, and support of clients in ordered for them to reach their full potential for independent living
  • Observes and evaluates the work performance
  • Provides clinical and technical support, direction, and feedback to licensed nurses in a timely manner; corrects performance as needed
  • Participates in the interviewing, selection and hiring process under the direction of the PAT Director or RN4
  • Writes performance development plans, ensuring each employee’s performance evaluations are completed timely
  • Ensure staffing is accurate and arrange coverage for nurses in cases of absences due to illness or other anticipated leave for oncoming shifts
  • Responsible for attendance and timekeeping functions
  • Participates in audits (MDs, Care Plan, Documentation, Infection Control, Med Safety)
  • Knowledgeable of Nursing Facility regulations related to infection control compliance requirements; works closely and in concert with other nursing supervisors for program compliance
  • Ensures the TB Screening and Blood Borne Pathogen training is completed and current for all subordinate employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Who Should Apply

  • A valid Washington State License to practice as a registered, professional nurse, AND two years of professional nursing experience
  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
