Finance Associate – Venture Capital | $80K–$85K Base | Hybrid

Location: Boston, MA

We are partnering with a leading venture capital investment platform seeking a Finance Associate to join its finance team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly GAAP financial reporting and annual audit processes

• Support annual tax basis reporting and coordinate with internal tax teams and external advisors

• Manage capital calls, cash distributions, cash flow monitoring, and treasury activities

• Analyze portfolio company financial statements and performance metrics

• Assist with quarterly portfolio valuations and preparation of materials for investment committee and partner meetings

• Respond to investor inquiries and support limited partner reporting requests

• Partner with Investor Relations on fundraising materials, investor communications, and reporting packages

• Support investment transaction processing, deal closings, and portfolio realization events

• Review fund activity to ensure compliance with partnership agreements

• Prepare management fee and expense allocation analyses across multiple fund entities

• Participate in process improvement initiatives, including leveraging technology and AI-driven solutions within finance operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1–3 years of public accounting, fund accounting, financial services, or corporate finance experience

• Strong academic credentials preferred

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skill

• Experience with Investran, Workiva, or similar financial reporting platforms is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
