Position Summary
The Temporary Rippling & Finance Systems Consultant will support a focused 90-day cleanup initiative across People Operations and Finance. This role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience with Rippling, strong multi-state payroll compliance knowledge, and the ability to correct missing state tax IDs, remediate data issues, and streamline workflows across HRIS and finance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax ID Remediation — Identify, correct, and validate missing or incorrect state tax IDs across multiple states.
- Payroll Configuration Review — Audit and update state tax setup, unemployment accounts, and withholding configurations.
- Rippling System Cleanup — Clean and correct employee profiles, job data, workflows, permissions, and payroll settings.
- Finance App Cleanup — Reconcile and align data between Rippling and finance systems (GL, AP, payroll accounting).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with People Operations, Payroll, and Finance to validate changes and ensure continuity.
- Documentation — Produce clear documentation of corrections, processes, and recommendations for long-term maintenance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
-4+ years of experience with Rippling, including HRIS, payroll, and multi-state compliance.
- Demonstrated experience correcting state tax IDs and payroll tax configurations.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience with finance applications (e.g., Intacct, Rippling, payroll accounting tools).
- Proven ability to audit and correct HRIS data integrity issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Rippling integrations, GL mapping, and payroll journal syncs.
- Background in HR Operations, Payroll, or Finance Systems.
- Experience in short-term consulting or rapid-deployment cleanup projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
