Key Responsibilities

The Cargo Sales Inside Sales Representative manages inside sales responsibilities for both assigned and unassigned accounts by assisting customers with all sales needs including customer-focused solutions, bookings, rate quotes, pricing, accounting resolutions. Solid solution-oriented, problem-solving skills.

  • Provide best-in-class customer service via email, phone and in-person. Handles all incoming sales matters for accounts assigned to Account Executives the ISR is assigned to support. This includes handling booking, trucking, rate quotes, billing issues and actively calling assigned accounts to generate revenue when and where opportunities exist or as directed by manager or account executive
  • Provides sales quotations to customers
  • Provides network and routing service solutions to customers
  • Completes shipment bookings for customers
  • Support outside sales teams as needed
  • Proactively hunts for new business opportunities
  • Collaborates with Operations and Revenue Management to ensure reliable, high-quality customer service

This position works a hybrid schedule based out of the United Cargo facility at the Los Angeles International Airport. This role will also be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of customer service, sales, or retail experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to project and maintain a positive disposition and optimistic outlook within a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Must possess a valid, active driver’s license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle to travel to customer meetings throughout the region.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge issued by the Airport Authority
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior operations experience
  • Knowledge of cargo sales/freight forwarding industry
  • Strong problem solving / analytical skills
  • Adaptability, Change-management and flexibility are key
  • Strong commercial aptitude

The base pay range for this role is $52,060.00 to $67,798.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
