Housekeeping Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and energetic Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our dedicated team of EVS staff. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and patient satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, train, and motivate EVS staff. Manage daily shift schedules and assign specific cleaning tasks.
  • Work hands-on with staff when necessary or when short staffed to ensure departmental expectations and responsibilities are met.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure company cleanliness and safety standards are strictly met.
  • Manage inventories for cleaning supplies, linens, and room essentials. Prepare requisitions to ensure staff have the materials needed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints regarding housekeeping services.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and maintenance teams for urgent repairs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA, health, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment for safety and sanitary condition.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a Health Care setting required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures required.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform regular inspections for extended periods.
