The St. Charles Center for Faith + Action seeks a detail-oriented and creative Digital Media Consultant to support our communications and outreach efforts. This is a part-time, three-month contract (with possible extension) position designed to strengthen our digital presence and community engagement.

Position Summary
The Digital Media Consultant will manage and implement the Center’s digital communications, including social media, website updates, email newsletters, and visual
content creation. This role is ideal for someone local to New Orleans who is organized, responsive, and passionate about mission-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and schedule social media content across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)
Maintain and update the organization’s website with events, programs, and announcements
Design promotional materials (flyers, graphics, event visuals) using Canva
Create, manage, and distribute email newsletters (e.g., via Constant Contact)
Collaborate with the Executive Director on messaging and communications strategy
Ensure consistency in branding and voice across all digital platforms
Track basic engagement metrics and adjust content as needed
Time Commitment and Compensation
Approximately 5 hours per week
Three-month contract
Compensation: $1,000/month
Work Environment
Primarily remote (work-from-home)
Optional access to office space in Uptown New Orleans
Must provide own computer
Will be granted access to the Center’s Canva account and relevant digital platforms
Qualifications
Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands
Proficiency in Canva and basic graphic design principles
Experience with website management (Squarespace preferred)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact)
Strong written communication skills
Highly responsive and receptive to feedback and direction
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Supervision
The Digital Media Consultant will report directly to the Executive Director.
