Quality Assurance Manager

Role Overview

A leading automotive manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations within a Tier 1 supplier environment. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, and support customer and supplier quality programs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and deep expertise in automotive manufacturing quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across manufacturing operations
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis initiatives
• Manage customer complaints, CAPA activities, and warranty-related issues
• Conduct internal and external quality audits
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain quality standards
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports
• Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and core quality processes including PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
• Develop, mentor, and lead quality team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of Quality Management experience in automotive manufacturing
• Experience working with Tier 1 automotive suppliers
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodologies
• Experience managing customer audits and supplier quality programs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ CQE or CQM certification
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience supporting OEM customers such as Ford, GM, Tesla, Toyota, Honda, or Stellantis
