Vice President for Talent & Culture

This position is located onsite in College Station, Texas

The Texas A&M Foundation is seeking a Vice President of Talent & Culture to serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping, advancing, and sustaining the Foundation’s people and culture strategy in alignment with Vision 2030 and executive leadership direction.

In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and a member of the executive leadership team, driving organizational excellence through the evolution of talent practices, leadership development, culture initiatives, and people-centered strategies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the Foundation’s workforce, culture, and operational practices are aligned with long-term organizational goals and support a high-performing, mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do...

Role

As the Vice President of Talent & Culture, you will lead enterprise-wide people strategy and organizational initiatives that strengthen culture, performance, and long-term success. In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Trustees to develop and implement forward-thinking talent and culture strategies
  • Lead long-range planning for workforce development, organizational structure, leadership continuity, and team member engagement
  • Drive culture-building initiatives that foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, and a high-performance environment
  • Oversee talent management practices, including leadership development, succession planning, and performance excellence programs
  • Provide strategic oversight of all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HRIS, and compliance
  • Champion continuous improvement of HR processes to ensure operational excellence and alignment with organizational values
  • Lead internal communication strategies related to organizational change, leadership messaging, and cultural initiatives
  • Build strong relationships across the Foundation, campus partners, and external stakeholders to enhance alignment and collaboration
  • Support executive compensation discussions and partner with leadership and the Board on strategic people initiatives
  • Lead and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of partnership, innovation, and service excellence

What We Require...

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and enterprise-level talent strategy initiatives
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and governing boards
  • Strong experience building and sustaining high-performance, people-centered organizational cultures
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking capabilities

We’d love to find someone with…

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Familiarity with HRIS and systems such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, or Ellucian Advance
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale organizational transformation initiatives
