For nearly 40 years, The Greeley Dream Team has empowered students to pursue college, career, and life success through mentoring, advising, and educational opportunities. Today, we serve more than 1,800 students annually across Weld County and remain committed to ensuring every student has the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to achieve their goals.

As we prepare for the future, we are seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to use your expertise, relationships, and leadership to help shape the future of an organization that is changing lives every day.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Board Members serve as volunteer leaders responsible for the governance, strategic direction, financial stewardship, and long-term sustainability of The Greeley Dream Team. Board Members work collaboratively with fellow board members and the Executive Director to ensure the organization remains mission-focused, financially strong, and positioned for future growth and impact.

This is a governance role and not a day-to-day operational role.

WHAT BOARD MEMBERS DO

Strategic Leadership

• Help shape and monitor the organization's strategic direction

• Participate in discussions regarding opportunities, challenges, risks, and long-term sustainability

• Serve as a thought partner to organizational leadership

• Support organizational growth, innovation, and continuous improvement

Governance & Fiduciary Oversight

• Review and approve organizational policies, budgets, and major initiatives

• Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources

• Support ethical, legal, and effective nonprofit governance practices

• Remain informed about organizational performance, finances, and strategic priorities

Community Engagement & Advocacy

• Serve as an ambassador for Dream Team throughout the community

• Increase awareness of Dream Team's mission, impact, and opportunities

• Leverage personal and professional networks to create partnerships, connections, and opportunities

• Advocate for educational opportunity and student success

Resource Development

• Support fundraising and community engagement efforts

• Assist with donor cultivation, sponsorship development, and relationship-building when appropriate

• Participate in organizational events and campaigns

• Make an annual personally meaningful financial contribution

Board Engagement

• Attend and actively participate in board meetings

• Serve on at least one committee or task force

• Come prepared, informed, and ready to contribute

• Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
