Coperion

As an Assembler, you’ll help build products that support reliable industrial manufacturing and steady production performance. At Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, in Kansas City, Missouri, you’ll contribute to safe, consistent work that supports long-term operational excellence. We design and build equipment and systems used in industrial manufacturing environments. You’ll be part of a team that values disciplined execution, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Your work will help us produce quality outcomes that matter over time.

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Set up and operate assembly line machinery and equipment by following standard work and safety requirements to support efficient, consistent production.
  • Assemble and sub-assemble components with hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures according to build requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform industrial sandblasting by using approved methods, protective equipment, and established procedures to prepare parts for the next stage of production.
  • Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts to required tolerances so finished products will perform as intended.
  • Move, sort, and pack raw materials and finished goods with care and accuracy to keep work flowing and materials organized.
  • Inspect products during production, identify defects, and rework or remove nonconforming items to maintain quality and reduce waste.
  • Complete daily production records, maintain an orderly work area, and support process improvements that strengthen safety, quality, and output.

  • You’ll work with our Manufacturing Operations team to keep production moving safely, efficiently, and with respect for the people around you. You’ll collaborate with others to solve problems, share ideas, and support a workplace where everyone can contribute and feel included. Your work will support Coperion’s results and contribute to Hillenbrand’s long-term success.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You have experience in assembly, manufacturing, or other hands-on production work that required consistent quality and attention to detail.
  • You can use hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • You can perform repetitive work accurately while maintaining focus, steady pace, and sound judgment.
  • You can follow work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • You can identify defects, troubleshoot basic assembly issues, and take appropriate action within established procedures.
  • You can move materials, handle finished goods carefully, and complete production records accurately.
  • You can communicate clearly, work well with others, stay open to learning, and contribute to continuous improvement.
