We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who is dedicated to both internal and external customers alike, collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel to identify and resolve equipment reliability issues. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as it relates to industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance functions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all functions necessary for plant maintenance in support of the overall site operations. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including preventive, scheduled, and emergency mechanical maintenance and is a multi-craft mechanic.

Essential Job Functions

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance on production equipment, motors, drives, pumps, control panels, and related systems and records critical information appropriately.
  • Knowledge of forklifts, aerial lifts, hoists, and other maintenance-related equipment and welding/fabrication skills a plus.
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and communicates issues that arise with equipment
  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements
  • Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance and records critical information appropriately
  • Performs daily activities independently (or with a team) with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with management
  • An organized, neat, self-starter

Requirements

  • Strong electrical aptitude and ability to learn industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and automation equipment.
  • Basic electrical knowledge with 110/240/480-volt power.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, diagrams, specifications and manufacturer manuals and drawings.
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of one or more building trades.
  • Lock Out / Tag Out Certification or willingness to obtain.
