Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Savings Assistance Program Field Trainer to join our growing team in California. The Field Trainer position will provide training and technical assistance to weatherization contractors in the Energy Savings Assistance Program (ESAP) within PG&E's territory. ESAP is an income-based weatherization program aimed at helping qualifying residents improve the comfort, health, and safety of their homes with appliance upgrades and home repairs. As a Field Trainer, you must have a strong background in working in the field with contractors and in the installation of energy efficient equipment. You will work closely with the Field and Program Delivery team to support guidance on program/equipment requirements to contractors and performance improvement in terms of quality assurance and quality control. This position plays a crucial role in developing and executing contractor performance improvement strategies and helping contractors be successful in this program. The ideal candidate will drive contractor engagement and utility client KPI improvement to support program goals and initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in utility programs and/or energy efficiency sector, and a passion for cultivating partnerships that create value for our organization and the communities we serve. The Field Manager will be responsible for supporting the ESAP in terms of building strong relationships with contractors, managing inspection performance metrics, supporting training initiatives, performing ridealongs with contractors, and driving positive energy savings outcomes. The Field Trainer will also ensure the quality of the customer education and contractor compliance with program standards and observe the proper and safe delivery and installation of measures in customer homes. This is a home-based position requiring daily travel throughout the assigned territory.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Field Engagement: Lead and strengthen strategic contractor relationships, serving as a trusted advisor who proactively identifies opportunities to build on existing successes and advance program objectives.
- Program Execution: Engage directly with program team to develop forward-looking strategies that align with their evolving goals, Key Performance Indicators, regulatory environment, and market conditions.
- Training and Capacity Building: Develop and facilitate custom training initiatives aligned with program objectives and performance improvement in delivering energy-efficient project installations and high customer satisfaction.
- Ridealongs: Perform ridealongs with contractors to reinforce training and/or areas that require improvements
- Performance Improvement: Regularly collaborate with contractors to improve performance, address issues, and promote success.
- Issue Resolution: Promptly address and resolve program and contractor concerns, reinforcing confidence and long-term collaboration.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and project results.
- Computer Skills & Data Analysis: Analyze data, use standard email and Microsoft programs, use client Salesforce portal, and submit electronic reports.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must be located in Kern County, California.
- Ability to travel up to 80% locally within Kern County Area and potentially other parts of PG&E service territory.
- Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, minimum level of automobile insurance
- 2+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, with a solid understanding of the contractor landscape and networks.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Enthusiasm for sustainability, energy efficiency, and the mission of our organization.
- Natural Gas Appliance Testing Technician (NGAT) certified or willing to obtain once hired.
- Strong computer skills, including ability to utilize basic functionality of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web-based applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for this position is $28.00–$31.00 per hour. In addition to hourly pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated hourly rate represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education, and location.
