POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for effectively training production personnel to operate the machinery/equipment and understand sanitation methods. Additional duties will be to monitor and record the performance of the porter staff to attain daily cleaning requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requires hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment within the boundaries of available manuals, instruction and personal expertise
  • Use acquired skills to properly train porter staff in the operation of all cleaning equipment, including all pertinent methods and good manufacturing practices
  • Adhere to existing corporate policies and procedures in the Engineering and Production Departments
  • Assist in the responsibility of maintaining accurate documentation related to employee performance, machinery/equipment operation and cleanliness of facility
  • Provide the Sanitation Supervisor with objective feedback to affect objective evaluations
  • Meet or exceed daily cleaning requirements per shift as set by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
  • Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer
  • Work in production areas that may occasionally be a dusty environment
  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a leadership role
  • Sanitation/cleaning equipment experience is preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and upper management
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
  • Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
