Chief of Staff

Kit Switch

ABOUT KIT SWITCH

We’re on a mission to make interior fit outs faster, easier, and more sustainable with ready-to-install kitchen, bathroom, and storage kits. We help developers, designers, and contractors turn building structures into homes people love, supporting affordable housing, adaptive reuse, and improved construction practices.

We’re a small, mission-driven team that values clear communication, follow-through, and care for our work, our partners, and each other.

THE ROLE

As Chief of Staff, you’ll operate as an extension of the founders across fundraising, operations, hiring, and strategic execution. Reporting to CEO (Armelle) and working closely with Chief Business Officer (Candice), you’ll build the systems and coordination that keep the team moving, freeing the founders to focus on growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, execution-oriented, energized by ambiguity, and comfortable holding others accountable without direct authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Operations: Define and track KPIs, build reporting templates, and drive the leadership meeting cadence (agenda setting, action tracking).

• Special Projects: Own high-priority, cross-functional initiatives as needed: fundraising prep, GTM pushes, vendor selection, or new product launches.

• Fundraising Readiness: Track investor conversations, manage the pipeline, organize diligence materials and data room prep, and contribute to board and investor updates.

• Operations & Systems: Own our internal infrastructure, including vendor and supply chain coordination, CRM (Zoho), delivery logistics support, and file management (Google Drive): identify and fix bottlenecks.

• Hiring & Onboarding: Run end-to-end hiring as we grow from 5 to 10 people: sourcing, interviews, offers, and highly effective onboarding.

Requirements

Mindset: Highly proactive, intrinsically motivated, and capable of holding team members accountable.

Experience: 3-5 years at an early-stage startup, in operations, or in a similarly fast-paced environment.

Execution: Exceptional organizational skills and a strong track record of follow-through. You're the person others count on to close the loop, while staying comfortable in startup chaos.

Systems-oriented: You naturally spot inefficiencies and enjoy building clear, repeatable solutions.

Collaboration: Comfortable working with people who have different priorities and working styles.

Bonus Points: Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or basic financial operations is a plus. Experience in construction, real estate, manufacturing, or affordable housing is an asset but not required.

Benefits

Full-Time Position: $85K - $110K base salary with meaningful equity. Placement within the band is driven primarily by direct relevant startup operations experience.

In-person: 3-4 days per week. Workspace on the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

Health Plan: Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision Health Plan.

Time Off: 30 Days of annual combined PTO / Sick Days / Holidays.

Perk s: Access to the Autodesk Technology Center workspace. Company-organized social activities. Annual education credits.
