Position Summary

The inside sales representative assists retail customers, home builders, decorators and landscape contractors in the selection of brick, stone and landscape materials. Also supports outsides sales as needed. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies while performing duties safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assists homeowners and contractors with brick selections and fill out appropriate support documentation.

Assures follow up on job allocations and requirements. Coordinates shipping.

Assists retail customers with Anchor Wall and paver estimates and purchases of items in the showroom.

Assures accuracy, efficiency and attention to be given to the customer in a professional and responsive manner.

Answers phone inquiries regarding brick and landscape products, as well as, general product information.

Develops a working knowledge of new products.

Assists sales staff with sales quotes, mailings, or any account research as needed.

Balances cash drawer daily and release orders.

Handles all ordering and invoicing of address plaques.

Stocks displays with proper products, assure items are priced and up to date literature is maintained.

Keeps showroom and brick sample room in good order. Orders brick palettes as needed.

Maintains accurate records of mailings, price lists and sales history on computer as needed.

Generates delivery and pick up tickets for contractor and retail accounts.

Supports outside sales staff with their sales goals as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School education or equivalent GED; and
  • One year related experience and/or training; or
  • equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid Driver’s License

Other Qualifications

  • 10 key calculator skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write routine business correspondence, office procedures, instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to compute square footage, rate, ratio and percent, and apply basic math skills in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software and ability to learn other related software used within the company.

  • Must have previous demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Must have an ability to research information and produce reports for the customer.
  • Must be flexible in work assignments.
  • The person must maintain a good attendance record due to the support role of this position.
  • Must have good attention to detail capabilities and be customer oriented.
  • Follows through on requests and assignments.
