About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior to Professional IT & Laboratory Specialist to join our growing team. This role bridges Information Technology and Laboratory Operations, supporting laboratory systems, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. It is ideal for candidates with experience in both IT and laboratory environments who are looking to further develop their technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second level support for laboratory IT systems and end users.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory hardware and software.
  • Support Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and laboratory instrument connectivity.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of laboratory IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Assist with system validation, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Participate in laboratory digitalization and automation projects.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
  • Junior to Professional level with approximately 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in both IT and laboratory environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and IT support.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or comparable laboratory applications is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting laboratory instruments and their software interfaces is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Additional languages are considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of GxP, GLP, GMP, ISO 15189, or similar quality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, scripting, or system integrations.
  • Experience with laboratory automation or instrument connectivity.
