About The Role

We are currently hiring multiple Counselors to join our School Services team in the Toledo area. In this role, you will play a direct part in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents through school-based clinical services.

You will be traveling to different Toledo schools we are partnered with, all of which are located in close proximity to our main building. This allows for efficient travel and strong coordination across sites.

As a Counselor, you will work closely with the Clinical Supervisor to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients. This is a full-time hourly position with consistent daytime hours and occasional evening coverage during the school year.

Schedule & Work Hours

  • Primarily: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Full-time position
  • Occasional evening shift required once school is in session
  • Flexible scheduling may be required based on client and school needs
  • On-call responsibilities may apply

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, risk screenings, and diagnostic evaluations within scope of practice
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and evidence-based interventions
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling (as permitted by LSW scope)
  • Deliver case management services including referrals, advocacy, linkage, and coordination with community partners
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EHR (progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, releases, etc.)
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Respond to crisis situations, complete safety planning, and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
  • Uphold HIPAA, FERPA, ethical standards, and agency policies
  • Ensure Medicaid-compliant documentation and billing accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio LSW license in good standing
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Experience completing Medicaid-billable progress notes
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
  • Experience conducting diagnostic assessments and treatment planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassionate, professional, and client-centered approach
