  • Assist with clinical sample accessioning, processing, and workflow coordination.
  • Support validation studies, assay optimization, troubleshooting, and process improvement projects.
  • Follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and quality management system requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal laboratory policies.
  • Collaborate with laboratory directors, scientists, bioinformatics teams, and operations staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  • Participate in inventory management, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and general laboratory organization.
  • Support continuous improvement of laboratory efficiency, quality, and scalability.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related life science field.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, or NGS library preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient-centered clinical testing.

Preferred

  • Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows, including WES, WGS, RNA-seq, panel sequencing, or methylation sequencing.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems, sample tracking, and quality control documentation.
  • Experience with Illumina, MGI, or other sequencing platforms.
  • Knowledge of clinical genetics, rare disease testing, oncology genomics, or molecular diagnostics.
  • Experience with assay validation, troubleshooting, and process development.

Desired Skills

  • Strong pipetting and sample handling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple samples and workflows with accuracy.
  • Understanding of contamination control and molecular laboratory best practices.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and clinical turnaround time expectations.
  • Interest in applying genomics and AI to improve patient diagnosis.
