Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our patient-centered care team. This role involves delivering primary and behavioral health support across various community and facility-based settings. Ideal candidates must have experience with Managed Care populations and a strong commitment to underserved and geriatric communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop individualized, patient-focused treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with DEA regulations
  • Document all encounters accurately and efficiently in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Participate in patient case reviews with the Medical Director
  • Collaborate with care teams including behavioral health, nursing, and specialty providers
  • Deliver services in assisted living facilities and community-based settings
  • Contribute to quality improvement and care coordination programs
  • Add language about completing forms from 3rd party insurance companies

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current California PA license and NCCPA certification
  • DEA license (required)
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in Managed Care or similar patient populations
  • Strong proficiency in EHR medical documentation
  • Reliable, communicative, and organized with strong team collaboration skills
  • Availability for regular case reviews with clinical leadership
  • Compassion for geriatric and mentally ill patients in underserved settings
  • Experience with hierarchical coding systems
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
