The Partnerships Intern will support the Corporate Partnerships department in sponsorship sales, activation, and partner fulfillment efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in professional sports, assisting with partner prospecting, proposal development, matchday activations, and relationship management while contributing to the growth of Fort Lauderdale United FC and its expanding sports ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sponsorship prospecting and research of potential corporate partners
- Support the creation of partnership proposals, presentations, and sales materials
- Assist with matchday and event activations, including sponsor signage, hospitality, and fan engagement initiatives
- Help manage partnership inventories, fulfillment tracking, and CRM records
- Support partner communications and relationship management efforts
- Assist in preparing partnership recap presentations and end-of-season reports
- Attend home matches, community events, networking functions, and partner activations as needed
- Collaborate with the Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, and Operations teams on special projects
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program
- Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Preferred
- Interest in sports business, sponsorship sales, partnership marketing, or event operations
- Previous internship, sales, marketing, or customer service experience
- Knowledge of soccer and the South Florida sports landscape
- Experience with Canva, CRM platforms, or presentation software
This is a hands-on, in-person internship in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours, including select evenings, weekends, and matchdays, and thrive in a culture built on hard work, accountability, and opportunity.
This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit is available for students whose academic programs permit internship credit.
