Responsibilities
- Represent clients in probate litigation cases including will contests, trust disputes, and estate administration conflicts.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents related to probate matters.
- Advise clients on their rights and obligations under Florida probate law and related regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions to efficiently resolve probate disputes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective case strategies tailored to client needs and case specifics.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials in probate courts.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing probate litigation or estate law.
- Strong knowledge of Florida probate statutes, trust law, and estate administration procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively in court.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal cases and multiple client matters simultaneously.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive family and estate issues with discretion.
