Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Preferred: 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; PE license preferred.
- Oversee construction, installation, and operational testing to ensure compliance with design intent, applicable codes and standards, and client requirements.
- Perform mechanical engineering calculations and prepare technical reports and design diagrams.
- Review plans and specifications prepared by other members of the design team.
- Research and interpret applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Select and size mechanical equipment for project applications.
- Conduct field walk-downs of existing facilities to support the development of accurate design documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required.
- Working knowledge of engineering design practices and CAD drafting standards.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and deliver projects on schedule.
- Professional and effective in working with peers, management, and clients.
