We are seeking an experienced SIOP Consultant to lead the development, deployment, and stabilization of the end-to-end Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process for a manufacturing site in Rockford, IL. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive demand planning accuracy, supply chain alignment, production planning, governance, and successful site transition activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the complete SIOP process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational goals.
- Validate demand forecasts and collaborate with stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and demand planning effectiveness.
- Establish and lead SIOP governance processes, including Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-SIOP, and Executive SIOP meetings.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, capacity utilization, and demand adherence.
- Manage buffer inventory planning and purchase orders to support production site transition activities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production Planning, Operations, and Program Management teams to ensure execution alignment.
- Identify planning gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives across demand, supply, and capacity planning processes.
- Support risk assessment and mitigation planning for supply, demand, and capacity constraints.
- Document SIOP processes, workflows, governance structures, and best practices.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights through data analysis, trend evaluation, and scenario planning.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience implementing and managing SIOP/S&OP processes within manufacturing, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Hands-on experience in demand planning, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional SIOP review cycles and governance processes.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and forecasting/planning tools.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to work onsite in Rockford, Illinois.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing site transitions or production relocation programs.
- Experience with buffer planning and risk-based inventory management.
- Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred.
- APICS/ASCM certifications in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, or S&OP are a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's Degree or MBA preferred but not required.
