About The Role
The Production Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day production of service center activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing or service processes. This role supervises teams, coordinates resources, and supports continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of 8-10 Welders, Machinist, Mechanics, and Shipping/Receiving employees to ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Monitor production or service metrics and implement improvements (5S, Six Sigma).
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO).
- Coordinate with maintenance and logistics to support operations.
- Train and develop team members.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
- Report performance and issues to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered)
- 6+ years of experience managing and coordinating one or more expert-level teams.
- Experience in manufacturing or production management.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lean tools and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in production software and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and team-building abilities.
