Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with young adults
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of hire

Preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain records and to prepare standard reports
  • Demonstrated good telephone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of assignments
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with high school level students with minor discipline problems
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and effective time management
  • Previous experience working with at-risk students
  • College course work in education or related field

CONTRACT TERMS: H ourly Position - 7 hours a day Monday through Thursday

General Description

Monitor student behavior in "In-School Detention" classroom and after school detention, complete paperwork on PC computer, input information on PC computer, contact parent(s)/guardian(s), maintain files on students in program, work in cooperation with teachers, administrators, program director, and support staff. Perform any and all other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
