Laboratory Technician

Princeton research Lab

Princeton Research Lab is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on Lab Technician to join our team.

Princeton Research Lab (PRL) is a non-profit, analytical research and testing facility based in Princeton, New Jersey.

We are an FDA-inspected laboratory built to support pharmaceutical manufacturers, cannabis operators, supplement brands, biotech startups, and academic research institutions with precise, regulation-grade testing and genuine scientific collaboration.

Our laboratory operates across multiple analytical platforms, including molecular biology and genomics, chromatography and mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, pharmaceutical formulation testing, microbiology, and physicochemical characterization. This allows us to support everything from FDA-mandated batch release testing and ANDA-required USP compendial methods, to next-generation sequencing, drug discovery assays, and cannabis compliance testing.

Our instrumentation includes high-resolution mass spectrometers, next-generation DNA sequencing systems, trace-level elemental analyzers, and label-free biosensor technology, capabilities that are uncommon even among established commercial laboratories.

What you'll be doing

  • Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining our analytical instrumentation
  • Supporting our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation process, including documentation, SOP development, and validation work
  • Running and troubleshooting analytical testing across our instrument platforms
  • Contributing to a fast-growing, women-led laboratory at the intersection of pharmaceutical, cannabis, and research testing

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience
  • Working proficiency with HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and LC-MS (essential)
  • Experience supporting ISO 17025 or similar accreditation processes is a strong plus
  • Cannabis testing experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a hands-on, build-it-with-us environment

Important

We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States.

If you're someone who genuinely enjoys instrument work, wants to help build a lab from the ground up, and is excited about contributing to both regulatory compliance and real scientific testing, we'd love to hear from you.
