About the Role: As a CBRE Business Intelligence Sr. Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and communicating threat intelligence throughout the US regions in written and oral briefings, liaising with federal, state and local law enforcement; acting as a stakeholder at NYPD Lower Manhattan Security Initiative. Provide executive teams with actionable intelligence and geopolitical insight to facilitate decision-making, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Using a variety of sources, proactively identify threats, allowing leaders to maximize business opportunities while minimizing risk to our clients’ employees, assets, visitors, and brand.

  • What You’ll Do:
  • Identifying incidents relevant to our client to include subject matter with both direct and indirect impact to operations. Continual improvement and identification of intel sources.
  • Management of internal intelligence platform. Generate and review reports using aggregate data from integrated sources to assist in creating a complete evaluation or open-source feeds, improvement, or recommendation.
  • Review the accuracy of information provided and respond to escalated requests from management and vendors. Long term monitoring of political and economic environments, both domestic and international, to inform reporting relevant to our client.
  • Understand and work with advanced scenario planning tools and models. Investigate new trends in general business conditions. Analyze threat intelligence to identify issues and events of interest to our client’s leadership. Critical incident tracking and trend mapping, assist with Emergency Preparedness tracking, reports, training and Table-Top exercises.
  • Identify opportunities for large improvements among the clients and company. Development of ad-hoc intel briefings and weekly reports of ongoing and upcoming emergencies or quickly evolving activities, to include large scale events, or unscheduled protest activities with direct or indirect impact to our client in the US regions.
  • Work with personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations. Build and maintain contacts and relationships with security partners throughout New York City in the public and private sectors including expanding network throughout the US regions.
  • Review the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Act as subject matter expert for key systems and processes and day-to-day functions. Manage the New York Security and Fire Life Safety SharePoint site, Resolver incident manager tool and Ontic intelligence platforms.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. Assist with incident management system and troubleshooting with vendor. Maintain distribution lists between internal and external security audience and participate with clients operational security initiatives.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

  • What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Business Intelligence Senior Analyst position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Business Intelligence Senior Analyst position is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
