Seasonal HS Head Flag Football Coach

Immaculate Heart High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for our Girls Flag Football program. The Head Coach will be responsible for developing a competitive and character-driven program that aligns with the school’s mission and values. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and
organizational skills to cultivate a positive team culture while ensuring the growth and development of student athletes both on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching plan that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Plan and lead structured practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies.
- Foster a positive and disciplined team culture that prioritizes academic success, leadership, and personal growth.
- Supervise assistant coaches and provide guidance on player development and team dynamics.
- Evaluate players and make decisions regarding team selection, positions, and playing time.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff.
- Ensure compliance with school, league, and CIF rules and regulations.
- Promote the program within the school and local community to encourage participation and support.
Season of Sport:
- Season – mid June through November
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
- Strong knowledge of flag football rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to teach fundamental skills while fostering competitive play.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the academic and personal development of students.
- CPR/First Aid certification
Preferred Requirements:
- Playing experience in football or flag football at a competitive level.
- CIF coaching certification or willingness to complete required courses.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
