You will join the Mechanical Engineering team of one of the world's most advanced technology companies, headquartered in Austin, Texas.
This is an onsite position focused on designing next-generation AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) data center infrastructure with advanced liquid cooling systems. You will work closely with hardware, electrical, and facilities engineering teams to bring complex mechanical designs from concept through production deployment.
This is a highly technical, high-impact role supporting next-generation AI infrastructure.
Requirements
- Design complex end-to-end 3D mechanical assemblies, including rack structures, brackets, rails, adapters, cooling manifolds, and fluid connectors.
- Design and optimize liquid cooling solutions, including Coolant Distribution Modules (CDMs), manifolds, connectors, and cooling loop architectures.
- Integrate mechanical designs with electrical infrastructure, including power shelves, BBUs, busbars, and related hardware.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.
- Validate designs using CFD, FEA, and digital twin simulation workflows.
- Collaborate with hardware, electrical, and facilities teams to deliver fully integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with OCP, ASHRAE, and EIA standards.
- Support rapid prototyping using 3D printing and other manufacturing methods.
- Evaluate mechanical components, materials, and suppliers to meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience designing liquid cooling systems, including manifolds, connectors, and cooling loops.
- Experience using CFD and FEA tools for thermal and structural validation.
- Knowledge of data center standards, including OCP, ASHRAE, and EIA.
- Experience integrating high-power electrical components such as busbars, power shelves, and BBUs into mechanical designs.
- Experience developing and utilizing system-level digital twin models.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design for data centers, HPC systems, AI infrastructure, or other high-performance computing environments.
- Proven experience taking mechanical designs from concept through manufacturing and production deployment.
- Experience with rapid prototyping, thermal validation testing, and iterative design improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with hyperscale data centers or AI computing infrastructure.
- Background in rack-level thermal optimization or modular cooling systems.
- Experience with advanced simulation platforms such as Cadence Reality DC, Future Facilities, or similar.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit for large-scale infrastructure integration.

- Location: Greater Austin, TX (local candidates only – no relocation available).
- Must be available for onsite interviews in Austin.
- Accepted work authorization: H-1B, OPT, EAD, or H-4.
