Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Criminal Paralegal to support 2 attorneys in all phases of criminal case management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment, and must have experience in criminal law procedures and court systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage criminal case files from intake through disposition
- Draft and file legal documents (motions, notices, discovery requests, etc.)
- Track court dates, deadlines, and compliance with court rules
- Assist with discovery review, including organizing evidence and police reports
- Communicate with clients, courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement
- Prepare attorneys for hearings, trials, and client meetings
- Maintain accurate records in case management systems (e.g., Clio Manage)
- Support trial preparation (exhibits, witness coordination, binders)
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a paralegal in criminal law (required)
- Strong knowledge of criminal court procedures and terminology
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office; experience with Clio is a plus
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience preferred
