Field Engineer — Multifamily Construction

About the Project

We're building a 210-unit, 7-building multifamily community on 7.5 acres in Bloomington, IL. This is a ground-up project with wood-frame construction across multiple concurrent buildings — a strong opportunity for a Field Engineer who wants real project ownership and daily problem-solving experience.

What You'll Do

- Support the Superintendent in daily field operations across 7 buildings

- Manage RFIs, submittals, and document control through the project lifecycle

- Maintain and update the project schedule; coordinate with subcontractors on sequencing

- Conduct quality control inspections and document field conditions

- Track material deliveries, quantities, and storage across the site

- Assist with owner and subcontractor meetings; take and distribute meeting minutes

- Support safety program compliance and daily reporting

What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of construction field experience, multifamily strongly preferred

- Familiarity with wood-frame construction methods and sequencing

- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project (or equivalent)

- Strong organizational skills — you'll be tracking multiple buildings at once

- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving field environment

- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience
