We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to effectively engage with targeted virtual communities and platform users. Our objective is to achieve exceptional customer engagement, build brand credibility and drive website traffic to increase revenue through the strategic utilization of social media.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. Candidates should be personable, energetic and comfortable in front of the camera. As a representative of our brand, you will actively participate in relevant conversations, gently promoting our products while providing support to existing and potential customers. Your expertise in social media marketing will be essential in achieving our goals and establishing strong brand connections.

Candidates should be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be able to coordinate simultaneous projects and work well in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Conduct social media engagement (like/comment/follow) to grow organic reach
  • Search for influencers and affiliates who are aligned with our brand/products
  • Manage social media shops on Meta, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Maintain and optimize company social platforms to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content
  • Create and schedule social posts in conjunction with email promotions
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

Requirements and Skills

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
  • Experience working with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Excellent consulting, writing, video editing, presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and the Meta Ads Manager
  • Experience working with influencers and managing affiliate portals
  • Create engaging video productions for use with TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • Experience with Canvas or the Adobe Suite
  • Experience with UNUM or similar social management platforms
  • Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability

Annual salary: 45K – 60K (DOE)

This position is full-time and on-site 5 days a week in our Irvine office.
