EDUCATION

High School Diploma or Equivalent

After-school program experience

OTHER INFORMATION

Work schedule is Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 6:30pm each day school is in session, plus additional required professional development hours outside the work schedule

High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.

PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY

Assists Kids’ Involvement Network Site Director with staff and students during program hours. Provides assistance with all areas of program implementation. Fills in for Site Supervisor at elementary and middle school programs when necessary.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in supervising staff and/or students during elementary and/or middle school program hours.

2. Directs staff in implementing all daily activities in accordance with North East Independent School District (NEISD) Policies and Kids’ Involvement Network guidelines.

3. Maintains communication among staff, students, parents and Kids’ Involvement Network.

4. Assists Site Supervisor with the organization of materials at the program site.

5. Assists with and completes routine reports.

6. Assists in supervising staff on positive discipline techniques when necessary.

7. Assists in organization, set up and restoration of facilities in various daily programs.

8. Assists in organizing and maintaining supplies and equipment for daily activities.

9. Assumes responsibilities of Site Supervisor when necessary.

10. Participates in all staff training and staff meetings.

11. Maintains confidentiality of information.

12. Reports to work on time every day.

13. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Effective oral and written communication skills with both adults and students

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong academic background
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to direct small staff (6-15 employees) and function as an integral part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to fingers; handle ort feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
