Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, relationship-focused Recruiting Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting across our growing organization. This role is responsible for attracting, identifying, and hiring exceptional talent for our Little Gym locations while partnering closely with gym managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, exercises sound judgment, and is passionate about creating an outstanding candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance.

In addition to recruiting, this role will support the People team with various HR initiatives and projects as business needs evolve.

This is a remote position. We strongly prefer candidates located in the Central Time Zone, as our locations span the U.S. with concentrations on both the East and West Coasts.

Essential Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for positions across multiple gym locations.
  • Partner with gym managers to understand hiring needs, staffing priorities, and local market conditions.
  • Develop recruiting strategies tailored to individual markets and positions.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions and compelling job advertisements.
  • Post and manage openings across multiple recruiting platforms.
  • Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or virtual interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates for qualifications, experience, culture fit, and overall potential.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely hiring decisions.
  • Track recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and recruiting documentation.
  • Partner with the People team to continuously improve recruiting processes and hiring outcomes.

HR Support

  • Assist with onboarding activities, HR projects and process improvements as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
  • Provide administrative support to the People team as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for multi-location, retail, hospitality, fitness, education, healthcare, or other customer-facing operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • HR experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: Starting at $70,000 + bonus opportunity annually, dependant on experience

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions across Somersault Inc. locations of The Little Gym locations nationwide. This role partners closely with gym managers and business leaders to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and deliver a positive candidate experience from sourcing through offer acceptance.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, ensuring recruiting efforts align with business needs while attracting high-quality talent. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position provides support to the People team on HR initiatives and projects as needed.

This is a remote position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions across multiple gym locations.
  • Partner with gym managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and recruiting priorities.
  • Develop recruiting strategies that support the unique needs of individual markets and positions.
  • Create, update, and maintain job descriptions and compelling job advertisements.
  • Post and manage job openings across recruiting platforms and applicant tracking systems.
  • Source qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, social media, and proactive outreach.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial candidate screenings, and assess qualifications.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices, interviewing techniques, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers and facilitate the pre-employment process.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and recruiting documentation.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

HR Support

  • Assist with onboarding activities as needed.
  • Support People team projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and candidate information.
  • Provide administrative support to the People team as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Three (3) or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience managing multiple open positions simultaneously.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience recruiting for multi-location organizations.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, childcare, education, fitness, franchising, or other customer-facing industries.
  • Previous HR experience.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in a remote office environment using standard office equipment, including a computer, telephone, and video conferencing technology. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or company events.
