The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support for a variety of HR functions within a growing employee-owned organization. This is a great opportunity for an HR Professional who wants to continue to grow into a larger role as the company continues to grow. This position is located at our corporate office in Louisville, KY. Key results areas include, but are not limited to:
Maintains information in the HRIS and benefits portals.
- Processes new hires and separations within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Ensures other necessary employee updates are completed correctly and timely, including changes to employees’ address/contact information, direct deposit accounts, tax information, and earnings or deductions.
- Completes necessary changes/updates in related benefits portals, including 401k and insurance portals.
- Review's reports and invoices to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Provides administrative support across various HR functions.
- Ensures the appropriate person is contacted when questions, concerns, or issues need to be escalated.
- Assists with or completes various payroll and regulatory reports. Prepares information for regulatory audits.
- Responds to requests for employment verification.
- Assists with benefits questions and communication with third-party vendors; escalates issues to the appropriate person.
- Completes various projects to help streamline processes and maintain best practices.
- Ensures personnel files and other documents are maintained as required.
- Assist with other related clerical duties for all departments such as photocopying, faxing, filing and creating business correspondence and reports.
Provides talent acquisition support.
- Utilizes the applicant tracking system to review resumes/applications and communicate with candidates.
- Maintains and posts job requisitions.
- Schedules and conducts phone interviews for various roles in the organization.
- Assists with candidate background checks.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proficient with technology, including the HRIS and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high levels of confidential information
- Must be a team player able to provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to multitask and handle competing and shifting priorities
This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degree or HR Certification desirable. A minimum of two to three years of experience in a human resources role is required. Prior experience with HRIS administration and full-cycle recruiting is preferred.
